Spring 2007 Fashion Trends

Cold weather days are nearly half over, the excitement of the holidays has died down, and shopaholics are eager for the newest fashion trends on which to manifest their most extravagant shopping desires. Spring is almost here again, and with it comes new fashion trends.
Some fashion trends are continued holdovers from last seasons trends: wedges, bubble dresses, skinny jeans and flats. But there are certainly new ones coming in that can satiate anyone looking to wield a new wardrobe. Spring 2007 fashion is centered on pairing volume with smaller dimensions to create a whimsical silhouette without adding weight and bulk. Spring fashion trends also include key pieces such as wide-leg trousers, bubble sleeves, ruffles and silver accessories. For instance, pairing skinny jeans and flats with the new bubble-sleeved blouse and a simple silver accessory makes for a demure, updated spring look.
The spring fashion trend for accessories notes less of an emphasis on gold and more on silver. Gold accessories have yet to completely run their course, but this spring the market will be dominated by silver. Silver can be found on shoes, bags, headbands, belts and jewelry. Choose one or two of these to complement an outfit, but avoid going overboard by choosing too many accessories or overly matching. Do not get overzealous and throw out gold accessories just yet. By today's fashion trends, pairing silver and gold is perfectly acceptable; just make sure to keep it low-key. A good bet for spring fashion is piling on lots of skinny gold and silver bangles to offset the latest wide-leg trousers.
Another spring 2007 fashion trend is wide-leg trousers. These trousers have been spotted with two different rises: high-waisted, and hip-huggers. The high-waisted version is more suitable for women with a longer torso or tall women. Women with short torsos tend to look like they are cut in half; however, short women shouldn't fret. Buy the hip-hugging style to avoid appearing engulfed in fabric. Also, skip the cuffed versions, which will only create a short appearance.. No matter whether a woman is short or tall, she should always wear a fitted top with these trousers. The aim for this particular fashion trend is to create a long lean line, not a bunchy unkempt appearance.
Women who want to expose their sexy gams will want to indulge in the fashion trend of voluminous proportions. Projected fashion trends include bubble and trapeze dresses. Grab those death-defying wedges and throw on a cropped jacket in case it's cool. Pass over the urge to flaunt the bulky platforms from fall with this look. Once again, this fashion trend is designed to create a clean silhouette.
Small on top and want a little extra oomph, but afraid to add too much bulk with a puffy dress? There is hope to be found in the spring 2007 fashion trends. Bubble sleeves and ruffles are back in a big way. (But not together, please!) Do not stress and start searching for circa-1992 ruffled silk shirts. In 2007, the fashion trend is modernized and simplified. Bubble sleeves are puffy and flattering without looking like shoulders have been stuffed with tissue. Ruffles also appear less like a tiered cake and instead fall in a smoother, more flattering shape.
With all of these options, spring 2007 is the year to shine (literally!). Regardless of a women's size or shape, there is a look for everyone. Just be tasteful of pairings and keep the additional weight in one area and not all over. Above all, have fun with this semi-throwback to your 1980s-early 1990s roots!
